Senior Design Engineer

Job Title – Senior Designer  (Fire Sprinkler Systems)  

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Sprinkler System Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the installation of fire sprinkler systems in various buildings and facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of fire protection engineering principles, codes, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Layout:

  • Develop detailed fire sprinkler system designs using CAD software or other design tools.
  • Create comprehensive plans, drawings, and specifications for fire sprinkler systems in compliance with National standards and local building codes.
  • Perform hydraulic calculations to determine pipe sizing, water supply requirements, and system performance.

• Project Coordination & Management

  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless integration of fire sprinkler systems with other building systems.
  • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project budgets.

• Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure all designs meet applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation for permits and approvals.
  • Maintain accurate records of designs, calculations, and project communications.

• Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Provide technical support during the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire sprinkler systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues that arise during construction.
  • Conduct system performance testing and provide recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • BIM 360 knowledge required

• Experience:

  • Minimum of  5 years experience in fire sprinkler system design.
  • Proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation programs 

• Skills:

  • Strong understanding of fire protection engineering principles and  standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
