Position: Mechanical Quantity Surveyor
Location: Sandyford, Dublin
Salary: €80,000 – €100,000 p.a.
At BSS Building Staff Solutions we have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor. Our client is a leading Mechanical Contractor working on a range of Commercial, Residential & Office Fit Outs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide effective commercial and contractual support to operations teams in accordance with procedures.
- Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors and internal team members in relation to pricing variations.
- Quantify material, plant and labour requirements for relevant projects.
- Negotiate prices with suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Monitor project costs against budgets, identify problems/opportunities and recommend/implement changes where necessary.
- Liaise with clients and consultants from initial enquiries through to final accounts.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience working as a QS (Must be Construction based).
- Certificate or Diploma in Building Services, Quantity Surveying, Construction Studies or similar.
- Experience working in a Mechanical Engineering company.
