Job Title – 3 Electrical Project Managers 

Location:· Dublin/Athlone/Killarney site office based

Salary: €55k – €70k 

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a number of  Electrical Project Managers to join our client a leading Electrical contractor operating in all sectors

Role:

  • Attend project start-up meetings and become familiar with all details and specifications of the project.
  • Input on tech submittals as required.
  • Establish performance and delivery criteria, ensuring that client requirements are being met.
  • Planning of all resources including labour, materials, and sub-contractors
  • Champion Safety implementation on site and at site Safety Leadership Teams
  • To manage and drive the team to meet with all project requirements and deadlines.
  • Identify & Track project risks.
  • Raising and managing RFI’s and managing labour tracker.
  • Progress report to be maintained weekly, report and manage any changes/variations.
  • Develop and administer quality control provisions; liaise on project cost estimating and value engineering, as appropriate.
  • Liaise with the Management / Commercial / Procurement team to ensure contracts, purchase orders, payment certs and change orders are issued in accordance with company policies.
  • Quality focus on site and implement ‘Right First Time’ measures.
  • Liaison with main contractors and the client-based site team
  • Coordination and delivery of project plant and equipment
  • Ensure adequate materials are always available to complete the project.
  • Ensure processing of materials/equipment requisitions, generation of purchase orders and delivery to site is done in a timely manner.
  • Develop a constructible and detailed schedule with the project planner.
  • Update program gains/losses to Con Manager weekly
  • Assisting CM in developing a commission plan.
  • Implementing the commission plan on site.
  • Generate biweekly/monthly snag list and improvements.
  • Identify & Track project risks.
  • Manage O&M handover process.
  • Maintaining O&M Document Management System.
  • Project-specific scheduling.
  • Meetings as required with Sub Contractors to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Communicate/Coordinate with the full project team.
  • Attend general site meetings and action points raised.
  • A strong understanding of the COHE policies and liaising with various vendors and subcontractors in relation to LOTO of their equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Trade or Engineering Background.
  • 5 years post qualification experience in Project Management.
  • Proven record of coordinating and managing Medium / Large installation projects.
  • Experience dealing with IR issues.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety.
  • Good technical knowledge of both Electrical and Mechanical systems.
  • Excellent IT skills.
