Junior Civil Engineer

Our client is a utilities service company working across the energy and telecoms sectors. They are recruiting a Junior Civil Engineer to support the planning, coordination and delivery of civils projects, working alongside the project management and operations teams. This suits an engineer with around a year of experience looking to build on it in a busy utilities environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of project plans, schedules and budgets
- Help schedule works and monitor delivery against programme
- Support compliance with quality assurance policies, standards and project specifications
- Liaise with clients, contractors, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders
- Assist with the day to day coordination of the operations team and subcontractors
- Monitor progress on site and report back to project management
- Support the specification, procurement and management of plant, machinery and equipment
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and Engineering
- Around one year of experience in a civil engineering or construction role
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Awareness of Irish health and safety legislation and standards
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Full driving licence
