In anticipation for our open interview day, I asked Darren Cannon, our contracts manager for the Munster region at BSS for some interview advice and to share some news about the upcoming openings in the Munster region.
Hi Darren! Firstly, it’s so exciting that we have an open interview day for prospective candidates! Could you tell us about yourself and what you do at BSS?
I have been involved in the construction industry for over 30 years both here and in the UK. I work as a site agent for BSS covering the munster region where I cultivate good working relations with both small contractors and multi nationals providing Trades and Labour resourses to help complete a wide range of construction projects.
What can our prospective candidates expect on our open interview day?
A relaxed friendly one to one interview with myself, where we get to know more about the candidates experience, background and work ethics.
Awesome. Having worked in the construction industry for many years, what do you think makes an outstanding candidate and what do you as a recruiter expect from the candidate?
A willingness to work is a great start, but flexibility, punctuality and reliability are the cornerstone of a good work ethic…
Finally, what jobs are currently available with BSS in the Munster region?
We are working on some big projects currently with lots in the pipeline, so it’s an exciting time to be involved in the construction industry with BSS….
